Description:
We would like to thank you very much for your hospitality and for all the information you so gladly provided. It was a pleasure meeting you and I hope your b & b continues to flourish. Balham is a pleasant relief from downtown
London, although we did love all the history and culture in the city. Diane & Helmut, USA May 2009

Thanks very much for your kindness and hospitality !!! We really enjoyed our stay in your lovely and spacious room, breakfast in the garden, and highly appreciated all the useful tips you gave us on restaurants etc. When returning to London in future we will most certainly contact you again and we'll recommend you to any of our friends who might be visiting London. Annemie & Ingrid - Belgium. August 2009

Balham, a quiet area of south west London, is served by a wide range of quality restaurants & is surrounded by some of London's most attractive green spaces. Well connected by rail, tube, bus & by car via the South circular; Balham is 5 mins from Clapham Junction & just 20 mins from the West End, providing easy access to London's airports; theatres; shops, art galleries & museums.

The guest quarters take up the whole of the top floor; from the landing there is a spectacular view across London to St Pauls Cathedral, the London Eye & the Gherkin. The large, light, airy bedroom has a sitting area & a working area with free access to WIFI. The room also offers a flat screen TV, radio, a wide choice of books & tea/coffee-making facilities. The big bathroom has a walk-in shower with body jets.

Breakfast is served in the dining room where the soft orange walls & the wooden floors enhance the watercolours of Venice & Tuscany. On fine, warm days guests can enjoy breakfast under the pear tree in the beautifully planted, tranquil garden, which is included in the National Gardens Scheme's prestigious Yellow Book.

Your host has spent much of her working life running an art gallery specialising in Fine English Watercolours & for many years she built the careers of several distinguished classical musicians as an Artist Manager. It's a track record that means she is well equipped to advise on exhibitions, concerts & what to see generally in London. French & Italian are spoken.
